A problem kept bugging me..
Is Amd 64 really performs that well right now for windows
based computer? I mean as far as I know M$ haven’t launch their
64 bit OS haven’t they? Neither much programs out there supports
64 bit processing. Is it really worth a upgrade from lets say an
Athelon XP to an AMD 64?

Easter is near....

goto to the main toms hardware site and goto the cpu guide, click on the cpu charts part II, and look at the benchmarks. You tell me.

Silly_Rabbit, the A64 is a 32-bit processor with 64-bit extensions. All the performance advantages people have mentioned are in 32-bit applications, the 64-bit extensions are a nice added feature for the future.
