Hello there, I recently built a new computer and I can't seem to get it to turn on. The only reaction I get out of it is the little blue light on the power button, but there is no sounds or fans running at all.

Cooler Master Hyper 612 Ver.2
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB
CORSAIR CX series CX600M
EVGA GeForce GTX 950
MSI 970A-G43 Plus AM3+/AM3 AMD 970
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)

I've tried looking this up and can't seem to get an answer that works for me. I have checked many things including -
-Thermal Paste
-24 pin and 4 pin power connectors
-Moved ram to different slots and tried with 1 ram only
-Tried different power supply
-Motherboard standoffs

Any help would be appreciated!

I suppose it's implied, but you did use a...
First of all, I'd try powering it on by unplugging the power button from the header and shorting the pins, just to absolutely cut the case electronics out of the equation. Connect the little speaker that came with the board (if one came with the board) - this won't really help, it's just nice to hear a POST beep and know for sure that things are working.

After that, remove the GPU. Test again, and report back, just to eliminate as much as possible.

I tried unplugging the power button from the header, (unplugged all of the case plugs) and connected the little speaker. I couldn't find exactly where to put the little speaker when I looked in the motherboard manual but I did some googling and saw that I could use JAUD and/or JFP2 so I tried both but I got no sound or any response from either one. Tried with GPU and without.

I switched out CPU's also and still no response.

Last thing I need to check is my motherboard. Even if my case LED's where working could the motherboard still be causing this problem? I don't have another motherboard to test this so I'm hoping there's another way to check! Thank you for the response!

I suppose it's implied, but you did use a screwdriver/other metal object to short the power pins, right? Make sure everything is in place and try again. Check to make sure the PSU is switched on; I know it's a silly thing, but everyone makes this mistake at some point. If it's a PSU that has a voltage switch, make sure it's in the right position.

It'd also be helpful to know what CPU you want to install, and what CPU you tested with.

Yes I did use a screwdriver, and I have been making sure I have the PSU switched on lol. The CPU I had before and the new one I put in are exactly the same, I was just checking to see if one was dead or not but nothing changed when I swapped them.

The only thing I can think of is maybe my power supply isn't strong enough, (both PSU's i tried were 600) or my CPU isn't compatible. Although my mother board says it supports AMD FX.
