I built this computer here (https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Nickiel12/saved/#view=3rpqkL) and when every arrived I built it, went to turn it on with a monitor plugged in, and nothing. The lights turn on and all the fans start, the HDD and Cd player start humming and whirring but no screen display. Immediatly the first thing to go through mmy head is that the bios isn't up-to-date, so then I put the little speaker on the motherboard and restarted the computer. not a beep or whine.

So I started looking around online and found a trouble shooting list. So here is what I am going to do, use a psu from another computer to test all the components on the motherboard one-by-one unitl I figure our if it is the bios in which case I will be calling upon AMD for their boot kit which is included in their warranty.

Note: I did try the integrated dp slot but still no difference

Edit: I went with the AMD Bootkit, it just took 3 days to get everything to them because they responded to my emails at midnight PST. But now my computer is running great! 😀

Solution
AMD boot kit will take longer. Local shop will do that faster but they may ask a fee for that. So your choice of time or money.
R2600X does not have iGPU so connecting monitor to motherboard is pointless.
If all starts up, trying another PSU isn't likely to change anything, although if you have another unit trying it is not going to hurt. I would bet wrong BIOS version here as most likely problem.

what do you think is the best way to update the bios? AMD boot kit or taking it to a local shop?
