Question Newly built computer crashes while gaming

Hello, I have built a new computer and unfortunately there is a problem,
it occurs during gaming only so far and what happens is that the computer crashes,
either the program just crashes back to windows OR the screen goes black,
fans and rgb continue to run for a while before the whole the computer restarts.
Games that I have tested that crash are Red Dead 2 and Doom (2016),
Doom Eternal I could play through the whole thing without any problems with everything on Ultra settings,
which makes me a little confused..

Tried troubleshooting myself but didn't manage to solve the problem, tested older graphics card drivers, ran memtest,
checked temperatures and don't think they are too hot. I just now also ran a CPU test on OCCT wich gave over 1k errors on physical core 1 logical core 2.
Starting to wonder if it's a hardware failure that's the problem.
Or that I missed some driver. I am thinking that I will do a completely new installation of Windows and drivers,
so I would be happy to receive tips so that everything goes correctly.

First computer I've built in like 15 years, so it feels extremely frustrating, so if anyone has any suggestions,
I'd be super grateful!

If crash dumps or something from the Event History/log book are needed, let me know.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't an unstable overclock set up by mistake. If everything is stock you shouldn't be getting errors during your stress test.

You mentioned over 1k errors on one specific core. I would inspect the CPU and socket and make sure there are no bent pins or anything else that could interfere with the connection. Otherwise, if everything appears to be installed and connected correctly, then you should request a return and have the CPU replaced because that probably means there's something wrong with the die.

If by luck you happen to have another compatible CPU laying around with the same socket type then perhaps test that to see if that works any better, just to rule out a motherboard issue.

Update:
I have reseated the CPU and applied new paste. Turned off xmp and getting no errors on OCCT with xmp OFF. Game still (RDD2 ultra settings) crashed after 30min-1 hour . Tried changing fan curves and decreased power limit in Adrenaline, seems like that has now stopped the crashing, but game obviously runs worse.. could this indicate that either PSU or GPU is the problem?

edit: Also, in event history i found this
"Service AMDRyzenMasterDriverV22 couldnt start : file doesnt exist"
Eventid 7000

Also, now i tried running OCCT with xmp ON and getting no errors, what i changed since last test with errors:

Reseated CPU and new thermal paste

Deleted a regfile related to AMDRyzenMasterDriverV20, i had 2 files one for v20 and one for v22

Limited GPU power usage and changed fan curves on GPU

I guess next step is run OCCT with normal settings for GPU and see if that shows errors?

Yeah I would run stress tests on the GPU too. It looks like the major hardware issues are out of the way but it doesn't hurt to rule out the video card as an issue.

I do think you should also DDU and reinstall the radeon drivers to be sure they're actually installed properly, even if you didn't have any other display driver previously.
