Newly built computer turns on, but displays "no signal"

My newly built computer turns on, but when connected to a monitor it displays "no signal". I have tried clearing cmos, using different both vga and dvi cables and using one ram stick

Could be wrong monitor input. Check it.

try to plug in ONLY the processor, power, and memory and see if you can get to bios

Could be a problem with your monitor, such as an incompatibility issue. Some monitors can only turn on with an HDMI cable. Is there any noise when the computer boots up?
