[citation][nom]cats_paw[/nom]After the gears of effect , i was so angry at the story ending that way, that i positivly ignored mass effect 3 and decided for me the story ended in mass effect 2, with sheppard dead.If they make a new mas effect, i will aproach it from the same distance i approched crysis 2, Dragon age 2, and a few others.Maybe its just me, but i simply expect mre than console ports.[/citation]

The ending was just fine. Not great but it could have ended with a damn line dancing contest. As for Crysis 2 and DA 2, Those are both pretty good games just get a wired xbox contoller and play them if the PC controls arent to your liking.

Deadboy, i dont mean the controls, those are ok for me. Problem is the story line.
Of course i cannot say its "bad", jsut that i didnt like it. The main reason i belive that is important is because to me in the previous games the companies were able to deliver a game that was highly enjoyable.

I belive that when you end a game, if right after you want to play it again to expirience again the fun, the game is awsome (just as if you watch a movie and you want to watch it again, or a book).

Im very interested to see what the future brings us.

I've been a Bioware fan for a long time; I love to love their games, but after ME3, I'm not looking forward to any more Mass Effect. Maybe an animated series done in the style of the dead space animes, or The Clone Wars--I could get with that. Now I feel like playing ME1 and ME2 again...

If Dragon Age 3 goes back to the DA:O or it ends up really good I think there's a chance ME4 would be also. It's not known what they've decided to do, if prequel or sequel, but either would be good.

SWTOR just went free to play bro. That kind of a sign that they have given up on it and I doubt we will ever see any expansion packs. Theres also a rumor i heard while playing TOR that is EA cant make any money off of it in the next year they are gonna shut down the servers.
I highly doubt a random troll in the game has any financial information about EA's current state with TOR, or that he thinks they will shut down the servers. They haven't given up on the game yet, there's already a patch being tested which include a new warzone and a few other things.

[citation][nom]kitsunestarwind[/nom]Honestly after the mess that was the ending of Mass Effect 3, I'm not sure i want to play anymore Mass Effect, too much of a bitter taste left in my mouthI'm looking forward to Mass Effect 4, and I thought the ending was just fine. [/citation]

According to one of the developers, he states "there are no happy endings, because nothing ends".

So what you saw wasn't the actual ending. The ending will probably be the final DLC for the game. There'd be no point to make DLC that takes place post-ending, since this is the end of the trilogy. As Mac Walters put it, the galaxy would be a "wasteland". I guess that's the price you pay for trying to stop a hyper-advanced machine race that outnumbers you in every way.

Like the EC, they will probably release it for free.

Bring on Mass Effect 4, I'm looking forward to it.

I know your types. You just want to comment related to what other people are saying. Pretty sure you haven't even played the games.

The biggest problem with the ME 3 ending was how Hudson said that our actions throughout the games with have some bearing on who 3 ended when it was to be just the opposite. Outside of the ending of 3, it is a really good game, it was only the last 5 to 10 minutes (as Nameon pointed out) that was the problem (and even the redone ending is still lackluster, I don't mind Shepard dying, actually I would have preferred it, but the ending, as it stands just does not do this great gaming series justice).

[citation][nom]blackmancer[/nom]loved mass effect 1 and 2, heard about 3, didn't play it. supposed to be the last game, now they're releasing 4?? why not go back and remake 3 how it was supposed to and release it for free seeing you already made enough to break even on the project and you'll be able to walk away with some honour![/citation]I'm with Murzar on this one. If you REALLY loved ME1 and 2, you would have played (and likely enjoyed) ME3. You'd be doing yourself a disservice otherwise. I don't know why people are so eager to jump on the pants-wetting bandwagon but 99% of ME3 is awesome. Even if you didn't like the ending, the game was still awesome and you can shrug it off.

Also, ME4 will be a different storyline. So as long as it really stays true to the ME formula and awesome combat (ME3 refined the combat even more than ME2), I'll play it. I'd be OK with the game not being released until the next gen consoles are out, too, if it means a better experience (both for console and PC gamers).

Sorry, I'm preeeeettttyy sure this is going to be a cash-grab. I hope I'm wrong.

Congrats to BW for producing a great universe and series from scratch, and introducing us gamers to something new; unfortunately it looks like they don't have any new ideas, and despite the Franchise being "over" they have to keep milking it for more cash.

So what's left to do? how do you top fighting the most avanced and powerful beings the galaxy (Reapers) has ever known. How do you form a connection to new characters the same way ME did?

Ea/Bioware is dead to me. Between what they did with game wise with ME3, DA2, and the Origin system requirements I doubt I'll buy another "new" product. I'll wait till stuff shows up on GOG.com years later with no DRM.

yo know, people here are saying that they will never again buy EA/Bioware games. I doubt so. they will buy the next one, as the hipsters they are. so what if the Ending wasn't great? what did you want? a sea of roses? life isn't like that. it was as good ending as any other. now, to ruin a entire franchise in your mind just because you have a childish vision of the world? that's just pathetic and lame. I love ME series, of course, there are something i didn't like, but, i still love them. they are games. not perfect real life. Just like Bridge to Therabithia book. Bad ending. but still, a great book. So you people should stop complaining. Or the Game designers, the artists will lose inspiration because of spoiled brats like you criticize a part of the game. To The Bioware Team: keep up the good work. Don0t let the downs Ruin your imagination and Creativity.

[citation][nom]nameon[/nom]Duuuude, dont believe the hype play ME3, it is phenomenal olny the last 10mins i'll leave upto you to decide if you like it or not, personally i didnt hate the ending myself i just remember being so shocked probably in a good way, all i can tell you is that i think people were too vocal about not getting a happy ending that they wanted[/citation]

I agree with you, bro. Played the trilogy all the way and the ending was spectacularly tear-jerking. There was no "ideal' ending, and that makes the decision-making very, uhhh, difficult. I think the ending was beautifully executed that purposely played with the players' emotions to great effect. There are a lot of substantial theories regarding plot inconsistencies out there and the best would be the "Post-coital Nightmare" theory".

About ME4, I'm cool with the idea, but I think a prequel is the best choice since the Reapers were supposed to be the apocalypse to end all apocalypses. As for plot's timeline, I'm cool with anything, even if it's waay before humanity's FTL age. They could omit humans but the asari shoould stay. Spank dat blue ass, I say. Seeing completely unmasked quarians is also interesting.

[citation][nom]Tomfreak[/nom]not sure u are.....telling sarcasm or ...[/citation]

Definitely sarcasm. He specifically said monthly subscription model, which is a clear jab at the fact that TOR just went free to play.

I'm seeing a lot of comments stating that the ending for Mass Effect 3 is "just fine." The problem is ME is story driven, and that was made abundantly clear with the mediocre game-play mechanics of the first ME. And that story was so very epic. That "just fine" ending is a like caned corn next to a $100 succulent steak with an aged fine wine. Nothing wrong with caned corn, but it doesn't belong and it kinda ruins the dinner. For those of use heavily invested in the story, that steak might as well have been marinated in cat piss and served with sour milk instead of fine wine.
