What's the difference in performance between those two versions?...I know that the basic one doesn't have the hardware firewall, but I don't care about it, I have good router. And well, SLI version os out of question...i'm going for x800xl as graphic.

Same performance, but different features.

SATA2, Active armor with the firewall and 1000MHz HT for ultra opposed to SATA1, firewall only and 800MHz HT for then nforce one. note that the HT difference is not really a minus, as I was able to run my fnorce4 at 1000MHz anyway ...

-Always put the blame on you first, then on the hardware, UNLESS YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A MSI BOARD !!!

From what I see and I know about my GA-K8NF-9 (mobo based on nForce4-4x). It supports the nVidia hardware firewall. nForce4-4x are actually the same chipset except the silicon is revision A2 instead of A3 for nForce4 ultra/sli.
