I think Abit's strategy is to come a little later to the party with a more stable, better perfoming motherboard. This too is my strategy. Jumping on the first boards with a new chipset is a bit risky. I've been burned a couple of times.

I'm loving the port layout of the Asus board!

And in case anyone would like to know why: Most old-fashioned serial devices can be used with a USB adapter, but many Parallel devices can't. And I like the dual NIC, as well as both types of digital audio connectors and firewire being present on the back.

I have $350 in credit that's only good for purchases at a shop.

I can't request two. Although I did just request two cases from chenbro, they're two different models.

All I have for RAM is this gigabyte Corsair twin pack (XMS4000 Pro) and a couple Crucial Ballistix PC4000 modules. I'd have to buy the CPU with my in-store credit.

AMD only supports the largest sites with review samples, medium sized sites don't get them.
