NFORCE4 recall?

I have tried every single certified nforce4 sli reseller including voodoo, falcon, ibuypower, overdrive pc, polywell, abs, etc and all are "back ordered" on the sli boards and not shipping till late december or january. 1 admitted to a recall of all asus boards (not just the a02) and said it effected everyone. Most said that if you are promised a board or computer earlier you are being lied to. Has anyone heard about a recal or confirmed a delivery pre 2005? Id like to get a computer before christmas for a gift but it doiesnt seem to be possible. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I've heard nothing about it, prolly just salesman BS. At least Asus and Gigabyte will have boards available before Xmas.

One of the computer sellers in NZ is meant to be getting in the Asus SLI board in a few days so it seems doubtful that it would be a recall

There's a new article on xbit, apparently nvidia say they haven't heard of any problem, and some boards should arrive shortly.
