NFS Pro Street keeps crashing

Hi Guys, i installed NFS Pro Street and it launched fine,worked fine but just until i was in the garage or in any loading screens or in any menu,s but when i tried to start a race the game crashed with showing a dialog (nfs has stopped working) i tried as many as possible solutions to get rid of this but nothing worked,i shall be very thankful to you guys for the help..

Where did you install it from?

i installed it from a DVD that i bought from a near by shop and yup i have told you guys about the error (nfs has stopped working)

What OS are you running at? The game is a bit old so it won't be probably optimized for newer OS's such as Windows 8 and so then you may have to run it in compatibility mode.
