NFS :undercover not working

Hi guys ..

So I recently upgraded to windows 8 and it's working really really fine with me, except for one thing 🙁 ...

I have NFS :undercover on my HDD and I installed it after finishing programs and everything (including DX) , But it just won't start or work .

I'm guessing that the reason is win 8 , so is there any way to make it run without downgrading to win 7 ?

What do you start it from? Steam?

No , regular (virtual) CD of the game

I Have an ISO file on my HDD .

When you say it doesn't start, does nothing happen when you try starting it? Have you tried running in compatibility mode and or as an admin?

It posts a message says "speed.exe couldn't start, there was an error" or sothing like this .

no , would it make any difference to run compatibility with windows xp or any other option ?!!
