NFSMW'05 on Windows10

This thread is a re-post because my previous was removed due to me breaking the rules.

I have a physical copy of the original Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 and recently I tried installing it on my windows 10 system. When typing in my code I get a message saying that i need "DirectX9.0C" or later. Now the thing is I have DirectX12. Here are some of the things I've tried doing:
-Re-installing directx
-Moving the directx file into the game files (opens my tray and says to insert readable disc)
-Compatibility Mode

If anyone has a fix for this I would really appreciate it.

Sorry man, but NFSMW (2005) is a SafeDisc game which Windows 10 won't run without some kind of no-CD patch, discussion of which is against the rules of this forum.

Oh, I was only looking into the DirectX part of the problem. Thank you for catching that.

Windows 10 is not pre-equipped with these older versions.

Make sure to run it as admin.

I'll look more into that outisde this site thank you. It's not piracy considering I have the game bought though is it?

Wow that really sucks. What i find strange is that there was one point where I actually got this working but this was a while back, now it just doesn't,

Piracy or no it's still circumventing DRM. Windows 10 cannot even read the disc because SafeDisc intentionally messes with the error correction mechanism.

It is quite an old game so many people keep an old XP box around as a retrogaming system. After all a lot of ancient games wouldn't even run on Windows 7. If you have a 70-series chipset motherboard or older, and no newer than a Kepler Titan or Maxwell 960 you can even dual-boot your Win 10 system into XP.
