Hello,
I have a Noctua NH-D14 and I have it in the most basic configuration.
The fans on the noctua are default and one in the back of the case. I'm wondering if it would help, reducing the noise if I moved the case fan (Bequiet silent wings 2 1500RPM max) from the back to the top as exhaust as it runs at a slightly lower speed (~700 RPM if I'm correct).
This should theoretically improve temps as well since the air isn't blocked by the slower rotating fans.
I'm asking because it is a lot of work just to swap the fan to the top as there is not much space in my setup.
Case: Silent Base 800 (not window side)
mobo: Gigabyte Z97X-SLI rev1.2 (the socket is close to the back, there is about 1cm space between the cooler and the case fan at the back side)
