>At work all PC's are set to not sleep.
>GP set to lock PC after 15min.
>All power settings have been checked on NIC to cancel and "power saving" or "energency efficiency" settings have been turned off.
So we use an emulator for our unix based server and when an end user goes on break (15minutes) the computer locks the screen and is apparently going to sleep. This results in the NIC shutting off or disconnecting from the network leaving the users session on the unix server live and won't allow the user to log back in.
Long story short: On Lenovo MX10 mini's is there a way to prevent the pc from shutting off the ethernet adapter when the computer is locked/goes to sleep. I have updated the NIC drivers, turned off any energy saving options in the adapter settings, and have checked the BIOS for any possible settings. Is there a way to force the NIC to stay active regardless of whether the PC is sleeping or locked?
Thank you in advance!
