I can't get 5.1 audio from my pc to my HTIB. I have my PC GPU (RTX 2070) connected to my TV (LG 65UJ634V), and the TV is then connected to my Sony HT-RT4 via HDMI ARC. I'm this configuration I can't get 5.1 audio, Windows only detects and plays stereo even when the source is 5.1 (movies etc). I then tried using the optical out on my motherboard (MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC) and connected that directly to the optical in on the HTIB. No audio was playing (I selected the digital audio out in Windows and it said it was playing from there). For comparison, my Xbox one works with full 5.1 Dolby or DTS when connected in either of this configurations. Can anyone help?

While trying to get audio out of your motherboard, did you first try using the analog stereo output into your HTIB? Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Might I ask which version of Windows 10 you're currently on? Might also want to include a screenshot of what your audio output options in Sound Manager look like.

I'm on windows version 1903, I'm on the latest BIOS version, and I just tried the analog output and it works fine. I've added screenshots of my sound options. Thanks for your reply.
