I have built-in audio. I was installing Windows 7 64 bit. There was no audio after windows installation and even after installing realtek audio drivers. In device manager it says AMD High Definition Audio Device. In playback devices it says 1 - Digital Display Audio not plugged in. What should I do?

Well, drivers didn't work. HP website say that my audio chip is "High Definition Integrated Realtek ALC262 Audio". I am getting this sound card in second hand cheap price. Should I take and install it?

I cannot answer that. Every time that someone has HP hardware, and I feel that something should work easily based on my 35+ years of working in this industry, and I tell someone that it should work, for whatever reason, it just does not work on the HP at all. Same thing with Dell computers. So now, when I find out someone has one of those two brands of machines, I do not know what to tell them anymore. What works on any standards based computer does not work with those. I wish I could answer that question for you. If it was a normal machine, and you can get drivers for your version of Windows, I would normally say, "Yes, it will work."... But I cannot say that with HP or Dell.

Well, I brought this new sound card and it worked. I got my sound back.

I got my audio back. But got another problem. Now explorer.exe and all startup items doesn't load at start. Graphic card not working properly too.
