Hey guys, I had this bass problem before a month ago and I solved it by disabling the enhancements(I read it on an answer on Microsoft for a guys problem same as mine) like equalizer and after restarting my bass just started coming fine when I tested it and then I re-enabled equalizer and everything went fine.I have Intex 2000 W 2.1 speakers BTW.But this problem occured again now after a month and the past method from which I solved this problem doesn't seem to be working.I searched the net a little bit but nothing was most inappropriate. If anyone knows the solution for this problem please help me, this problem is so frustrating. And to let you guys know I don't have any drivers problem for sure all drivers are up to date and I am using Windows 7 and this problem doesn't occur in XP.

Solution
I have two suggestions to try, based on experience with Realtek on-board sound chips. Your situation may be different.

1. If you have ever unplugged some speakers, especially the one for the sub-woofer, this may have happened. If a speaker is disconnected and then plugged in again, a small window pops up on your screen asking what thing you just plugged in. If you ignore it it just goes away. It suggests a default choice, but you MUST actually confirm or change that, and THEN close the window. If you don't give it an answer, it will NOT send a signal out of that jack. So, unplug your sub-woofer from its jack for a few seconds, then plug it back in and watch the screen. Answer it properly and see if that helps.

2. On my screen in the...
hmm, i'm guessing you use 3.5mm stereo jack for connecting it to pc. have you tried it to other audio source such as your phone?
if you still have no bass when connecting it to your phone then it's a defect hardware.

2. On my screen in the system tray at bottom right there is an icon for the Realtek Audio Manager. Right-click on that and choose Audio Manager. On the Audio I/O tab there is a choice box to choose the output device it is using. If it is set to Headphone or some other combination that does NOT include a sub-woofer, it won't send a signal out of the jack to that speaker. Choose a speaker setup that includes the sub-woofer, then click OK.

Solution

Yes, I use 3.5 mm jack (which is at the back of my cpu case). I have my PC as an input, I tried my phone and it all worked fine but I really started thinking its windows 7 problem because it occurred a month ago too.

And where can I find these audio settings please give the proper steps I can't understand where to find this.

Hey guys I wanna let u all know that I figured it out after messing a little bit with my audio settings and unplugging my speakers and then re-plugging them in.The fault I noticed that the line-in thing instead of default realtek audio device was enabled in the sounds in my control panel, which may have accidentally happened or enabled itself in my PC when one day my little 8 year old brother was eager to try the new headset I bought for my phone and after he plugged them in the line in thing may have enabled instead of speakers. So after noticing this I tried it out and enabled the realtek audio device set everything to normal and i plugged out my speakers, then restarted my PC and then my sound was rocking again. Thanks for all your advice guys and specially Paperdoc who wrote his 1st option to try unplugging speakers.Thank you guys :)
