I prefer this, like you said no stress means better product. Plus people still got the 1st game to keep them busy until then.

MW2 is still a very great game. I still play it competitively on S&D matches. If this game is a lot of the same and then some, it'll be a winner, easily.

"You were going to preorder it regardless anyway, right?"
Yes. Yes I was.

There Isn't a game that I want in the foreseeable future that I am more confident about being good.

There already was a demo, it was called COD 4 Modern Warfare. Seriously, its the same tried and true engine, with the same tried and true net code, with the same amazing multiplayer gameplay. There's nothing to "demo".
What we get is more maps, more guns, new perks, lots of tweaks, and new multiplayer modes. It's understandable they wanna save that stuff for the release.

I think if a demo is really needed, maybe during the months that it is sent to QA and manufacturing, they can quickly cut a small demo like a small level or something?

This is just reverse marketing... a story about a MW2 Demo would have been looked at with little interest. Those who were interested would have found it, downloaded it and played probably before they even heard about it through the media. However, this announcement of 'No Demo' has everyone talking, and that is what they really want... Buzz Buzz Buzz!!!

So evreyone is still up for paying $60 for a standard edition PC game that is more or less like the first one but with some tweaks here and there?

Sure, I will.
I've bought COD2, and honestly, I hated it. I shared COD4, and I loved it, so I may as well buy another, and if any, COD6 will be it.
$60 for something that I'll play 20-50 hours is more than worth it.

I am not disappointed that there will be no demo before the release. Demos are icing on the cake and MW2 is still baking in the oven. And yes I preordered it regardless of having access to a demo before it is released. I wanted to make sure I got my hands on the Prestige Edition...and if I'm right, it will be worth it.

CoD4 was the first Call of Duty that I ever really liked. It was absolutely amazing; I still play it on the single player campaign, even though I already beat it. I absolutely can't wait for the sequel, and I know it will be awesome!

They must know this will suck. If they think it is good they release a demo to prove it. This will make a good Kiddie Console game.
