So I just put together my first build and when I turned the power on, I don't hear any beeps nor do I see anything on my computer display. All the fans on the CPU and the video card are spinning, but I can't seem to pinpoint the exact problem and how to fix it.

Edit: I tried breadboarding to narrow down what components could be the problem. I first tested the CPU and heat sink fan, and once I turned it on, I got 3 beeps. I'm not sure what that means, but I looked online and some site said it could indicate ram failure, even though I don't have any ram installed yet. I moved on to putting in my ram, but then there was no beep at all. Could it be my memory that may be causing some problem?

if it an intel build check with the monitor on the mb onboard video port. some bios have the ipgpu or onboard video as the first video output. check that the 4/8 pin cpu power plug on the edge of the mb is plugged in. also check that you have the motherboard on the brass case standoffs so the mb not shorting out. with new motherboard they dont have speakers on them any more. they wont beep unless you plug a speaker into the mb speaker header port. most newer mb like asus and msi use fault led. see if the cpu or ram led is on. on some mb the bios may be to old or there a ram bug. if you have a newer 700 gpu and two sticks of ram try pulling the gpu and one ram stick see if the mb posts. if it does update the bios then try adding the ram and gpu back in. some of the newer asus mb have usb flashback ports if yours does check the bios rev and put the newest bios file on the mb.

I tried bread boarding, and i started with just the CPU and heat sink fan. I got three beeps and then moved on to the memory, but then there was no beep. Does that mean the problem is with my memory?
