Hi guys hope all is well. Got a bit of a strange one here if I'm honest.
Building a rig for a colleague who's just put a fair bit into it. Specs are as follows:
Intel i5 8600k
Aorus z370 Gaming 7
HyperX Predator 8gb 3000mhz (x2) (unsupported it seems but read below)
Nvidia 1080 by Gigabyte
Samsung Evo SSD.
So the rig was built, everything installed. Hit the power button and the motherboard lights up, the cpu and gpu fans are spinning, everything looks grand. Only thing is there is no visuals on the screen and the system reboots after i'd say 20 - 30 seconds and it's caught in a loop.
The ram in question isn't listed on the supported memory for the mobo, not usually a biggy however the manufacturers site claims that for it to be set to 3k mhz it needs to be O.C'd.
I didn't have a spare set of RAM on me to test it as we built it at his house but that was my number 1 culprit.
I'm just wondering if or what else it could be causing the issue?
Thanks guys!
