Hi.
Just built a new computer. It's a SATA HDD and SATA DVD drive. Both devices are detected fine in the BIOS, but when I put the windows DVD in to load windows i get the error
no boot devices available
SATA 1: INSTALLED
SATA 2: INSTALLED
the optical drive is in port 1 and i've selected it to boot first etc. Also tried the other 2 SATA ports but get the same error.
I have a feeling i'm doing something dumb but have no idea what. It's a Dell motherboard http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/specs-dp55m01-dell/.
i7 860 processor. Brand new seagate 1TB HDD and brand new DVD drive. I do not have a USB key to boot from so have not tried that.
Thanks!
