No Boot for ASUS M5A97

Hello,
I have just recently built my computer and it doesn't boot the bios. I have the power connected to the 24 pin power on the side of the motherboard but my PSU doesnt have a 4 pin connector for the cpu? Is this why it wouldnt boot and how could i fix it?

yes that exactly why it wont boot. are you sure its not an 8pin? and your psu must have it unless its SUPER old
