I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 that I’ve been trying to use with my TCL Roku TV. Since the Optiplex doesn’t have an HDMI input I purchased a ‘BlueDiamond DisplayPort to HDMI cable’ but it doesn’t seem to want to work.
When trying to boot with only the TV plugged in, it just won’t boot or post and am unable to get anything beyond a black screen. After unplugging it and plugging in my monitor, it shows a ‘System halted’ message regarding display inputs.
When trying to connect the TV after booting into windows with the monitor it doesn’t get detected at all with anything I’ve tried.
Anything I can do, or am I screwed? Can provide any additional information as needed.
