Hi to all,

I know this question maybe a bit old but i'm really confuse now and really need help.
My detail specs are :

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with standard cooler
Motherboard: Asrock B450 Steel Legend. BIOS ver P4.10
RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance 32Gb CMK32GX4M2D3600C18
PSU: Corsair VS550
GPU: NONE

from these several days, sometimes when I hit the power button, system won't boot and only shows blank screen but CPU fan, casing fan and PSU fan were on,motherboard LED also turned on. I've tried to remove anything but only the CPU and RAM installed but still nothing on the screen and no POST. I've installed one memory stick to each of the RAM slot still nothing happened, then I removed all RAM but strangely no beeps at all, then I unplugged the power cord,8 pin 12v power and the 24 pin ATX cable and let it around a day. After that I plugged in the power cord,8 pin 12v power and the 24 pin ATX cable back to the board but no RAM installed, suddenly I heard 3 long beeps that indicated RAM was not installed or not properly seated. Then I put back my RAM suddenly my PC boot to bios normally but idk for how long, because sometimes the monitor will be blank screen again as if I removed the monitor HDMI cable. I tried to connect my current monitor to a laptop and it works fine. sadly I had no spare CPU or motherboard or even RAM.

I'm thinking maybe CPU failure or Motherboard failure, but I just wanna make sure which one. I just cannot afford to buy new motherboard and CPU all at once 😭
pls if somebody can help me, I'm gladly appreciate.

Thanks,

Regards from Indonesia.
Peace.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

PSU: Corsair VS550
How old is the PSU in your build?

Motherboard: Asrock B450 Steel Legend. BIOS ver P4.10
Is this;

the motherboard you're working with? If so, you have BIOS updates pending. Follow through the instructions mentioned on the BIOS page and flash to the latest version gradually working your way up.

Troubleshooting isn't about pointing a finger and hoping you've found the culprit. You will need to work with spare parts or a spare system to rule out components one by one, per a checklist to come to the logical conclusion as to which part is the issue in your build.

FYI, that VS unit isn't something you should consider a PSU. It's a bad quality unit, regardless of the advertised wattage.

If you think it's the CPU, drop said CPU onto a known working motherboard with the right BIOS version and see if the issue persists. If it works, then you have narrowed down the CPU to be free of fault.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? Ideally you should disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button for 30secs to drain residual power, then reseat the battery after 30mins.
