I have some urgent questions regarding mobo drivers. 1. Do I need the drivers on the motherboard cd? Everything I've read has conflicting info. ( My Mobo is 3 years old so I figured these drivers would be old and pointless. 2. Most people say I need the chipset driver to increase performance, however I can't find this "chipset" driver on my mobo website. There's only an inf driver. Are these the same thing?

Thanks for any help!

Go to your downloads folder then click on each zip file and hit "extract". Then open the extracted folder and look for something like a setup.exe and run it. It should put you through a setup wizard. Do this for each one.

Once everything is installed. You can delete those zipped and extracted folders.

just posted a pic of what im talking about on my recent reply. seems kind of sketchy deleting these

If its in your downloads folder. Its safe to delete. Once you install the driver from .exe it makes a new folder in windows directory for that driver. So you dont need to worry about the original downloaded folders.

Yes just looked at the image. It is safe to delete everything in there.
