Hello,

I have received a shipment of a Dell PowerEdge 2600 4U rack server that was
fully reconditioned after a company in Europe liquidated its assets. This
server is going to be more of a small end application server. Anyway so far
the hardware works great, but when I goto Dell's support site to get a list
of drivers and product information for it, I'm told there are no downloads
or product information available. Also in smaller text it says "Dell does
not support nonAmerica's systems".

All I need is to get the latest drivers and hardware specs on it like
chipset, network adapter, etc for Win2k3 SBS to work right. Where would I
go to get this??

Documentation, and perhaps specs:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pe2600/en/index.htm

Might try reading and then browsing the FTP site for downloads, though I'm
not sure that will help:
ftp://ftp.dell.com/

And lastly, you might want to post your message above over here (more server
guys):

Thanks. Although all i'm looking for at most is knowing what chips were
used for the NIC and other hardware. ATI Rage is the video obviously but
mainly the NIC. It's an intel something but doesn't say on the chip itself.
Once I know that I can get online with it and get it windows updated.

RSVP with the chip identifier. Maybe 82559? The chip identifier can point you
in the right direction for drivers on the Intel web site... Ben Myers

don't know where your problem is plenty of drivers I assume they want
you to go to the Dell site for your country due to voltage differences
and export control laws on some software
link to downloads is here
