No display after installing and powering GTX 650

I have a Gateway DX4300 that's running an onboard Radeon 3200. In another post, a member recommended the following, which I purchased and hooked up:

CX430
GTX Geforce 650

I installed the GPU into the PCI slot and started the machine. However, I have no display. I have to shut down the computer and unpower the GPU to get the display back using the onboard graphics. I've also flashed the BIOS to the latest version: http://support.gateway.com/product/default.aspx?modelId=2283

So I'm basically in a loop here.

I've tried switching the monitor's inputs, using the standard vga to dvi converter that came with the GPU, etc.

(1) Yes, I have the 6 pin power clipped in and the fan spins.

(2) Yes, I'm plugging the monitor in the graphics card. I've tried both DVIs and a converter.

(3) Windows 8 fresh install.

It is plugged into a PCI 2.0 slot correctly.

Try this:
"In your bios go to the advanced tab and then to configure advanced CPU settings. Once in there go to northbridge configuration. In there you will see a setting for initiate graphics adapter, set it to PEG/PCI and see if your graphics card works.

If that doesn't fix it, go back in and set it to PEG/IGD. That will allow both your onboard and PCI-e graphics card to work simultaneously."

Solved! This problem impacts Windows 8+ including 8.1.

(1) Turn off QUICK Boot in BIOS.
(2) Shut down. Remember your BIOS shortcut key (e.g., Delete) and how to save and close (e.g., F10).
(3) Plug in power for GTX.
(4) Turn on, but there will be no display. Hit your BIOS shortcut key.
(5) F10 and save out.

Display appears! Install drivers when you're in Windows 8 and problem won't happen again.

@lanehletap: Can't imagine how you came up with this, but it worked on Windows 8.1 / Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H mobo, and the GTX-760 graphics card. You'd think this would be on all three companies' web sites,.. but this is a great fix. Thanks! (It's called "Fast Boot" in the BIOS for that motherboard, btw and after you press F10 you should press Enter).

I am facing same issue on Win10 I have already disabled "fast boot from memory" but not yet resolved.
