Question No display after upgrading CPU from Ryzen 2600X to Ryzen 5800X ?

First thing I did was install the CPU, my PC kept restarting after failing to boot.

I put my old CPU back in and Installed the current bios update for my motherboard (asrock b450m pro4) which was 5.70 using a USB.

Everything seemed to work fine with the new update. I then reinstalled the 5800x. It no longer restarts after failing to boot, but I get no display and my mouse/keyboard isn't turning on.
I was told to just get the beta update, but it seems like most people disagree with using beta

Any suggestions?

GPU - RTX 3080 EVGA
CPU - 2600x/5800x
32gb ram corsair veng lpx
Motherboard - Asrock b450m pro4

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

If you've made certain that the BIOS is up to date, try and clear the CMOS for your platform. Disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then replace the battery after 30 mins.

Just an FYI, the minimum BIOS version you'd need for that motherboard if you wanted to work with a Ryzen 5000 series processor would be BIOS version 4.6. You're well above that.

Thanks for the response. Thats good news, someone told me that I need to download the beta, should I power off then switch to the 5800x when I remove the CMOS battery? Or leave in the 2600x

(sorry for the late reply, thunderstorm in my area. Hopefully It doesn't knock my power out during an important step)

Alright I'm back.
I removed all wires, removed the battery. Pressed power for 30 seconds then left my computer there for 30 minutes. Came back put everything back in with the 5800x and still not working. It boots but no display and mouse/keyboard won't work. I double checked the bios and I do have the up to date 5.70 update.

I put the 2600x back in and everything still works at least.

I think that you need to go with 4.6 BIOS ver.
AsRock says - 4.6 Supports Ryzen 5000 series CPU.

Doesn't the most updated version come with all the changes of the previous versions?

Yes I have my 2600x in right now with 5.7. If I don't get it working by Wednesday I'll have to return it before it's too late. I'll read what you sent though thanks

Im in the process of returning it now, when the other one comes Ill install it and see what happens. If the problem was installing the latest version without downloading prerequisites, then I'd have to downgrade bios. But a lot of people say my motherboard might brick, so I'm not sure what else to do at that point
