No display at monitor when I changed the Processor

I recently change my cpu from i3 3240 to I5 2500. (Yeah I know 3rd gen to 2nd gen downgrade but I needed the 2 extra cores)

But my real problem is when I put the i5 cpu then boot. The monitor says no signal but all the fans, gpu and even my mouse is lightning up. But it just a black screen. Then I put again my old i3 for retest and it boots up and I try to test a game with no prob. We test the cpu before I buy it (2nd hand). Is there anyway I can make it to work?

Ps. I already reset the bios. And it is already updated. And support the cpu based on their website. And also I tried to set ng ram to 1333 mhz from 1600 because I checked intel website i5 2500 only supports 1333 ram but nothing changed. I'm confused right now I don't know what to do. I only upgraded to slightly improve my game performance. (I used gtx 1050ti). I will try any suggestions :)

And another thing... Sorry for the bad english. Just try to understand it.

Edit: I have 500w psu (not the generic ones) and I also unplug and plug back the GPU and switch out my 2 rams
Edit: My motherboard is Biostar h61mhv v7
EDIT: I have made it to work!! But I've got a problem. I remove the GPU (GTX 1050ti) and it boots. I swear when I'm plugging in my i3 + gtx 1050ti it boots all the time but if I use the i5 2500 I'm stuck at black screen. Any help?

Well, there are some potential reasons for this.

First, it could possibly be a BIOS update issue. However, given that your i5 is a generation earlier than the i3, you wouldn't expect this to occur (since you usually only need a BIOS update to run a newer chip). Just to be sure, though, what model of motherboard do you have?

Second, it could be a RAM compatibility issue. Unfortunately, my Google-fu has turned up some conflicting responses: some sites have users claiming they were able to pair a Sandy Bridge CPU with DDR3-1600 RAM with no problem, others had it initially run with no problems but only for a few months, & still others say that you have to artificially limit the RAM to DDR3-1333 speeds (as it's both a speed & a voltage issue). The best way to test would be to use another Sandy Bridge Core i5 system that's using DDR3-1333, & pop your CPU in to see if it's working; if it is, then test it with your DDR3-1600 RAM. If the RAM & CPU don't work in the other system, then they're not compatible. If they do work in the other system, there might be an issue with your particular motherboard.

Thanks for the answer guys my mobo is Biostar h61mhv v7. I've already seen their page and updated to the latest version of the mobo. And I will try not using the gpu. Also I already limit my ram frequency to 1333 (using my old i3 to boot) and still nothing happens.

Question from andreicurs : "Not reading the GPU"

I've recently have a problem when I changed my cpu from i3 to i5. It turns out it is because of the gpu. This is the scenario.
-Whenever I boot i3 + gtx 1050ti it boots perfectly and I can play games without any problem.
-But then when I swapped the i5+gtx 1050ti I'm having a 'No signal in the monitor'
-But if I remove gpu from the i5 it boots
What could be the problem? I am certain my gpu is not dead because I've tried it so many time with my old i3. And one more thing my gpu doesn't have external power cables like the 6pin etc. It is directly to the mobo. And my old i3 3240 is 65w and the i5 2500 is 95w can that posed any problem?
Any help?

Per your recent edit ... the computer boots without the GPU installed. It kinda sounds like your power supply is a under performing. The i5 does draw a bit more power than the i3 and it might be just a bit too much (surprising, but possible).

Do you have access to a spare power supply? Is there a store around you with a super easy return policy?

What do you mean port bud? You mean the pci? My board only has 1pci port. I'm currently playing Fortnite in my i3 + gtx1050ti (with no throttle or whatever probs) because I can't get to work with the i5 🙁 please any help

Ahhh I am using the dvi port cuz I don't have any connectors but yeah gtx1050ti has dvi, hdmi and display port. I will try to use the hdmi because my monitor doesn't have display port available
