Question No display, but keyboard backlight and fans are working ?

Laptop-lenovo y540, intel 9750h

No display but keyboard backlight and fans are working. Service centre guy says power is not getting through to processor. Motherboard gone ? Is it possible fan working but power not going to processor ?

test with an external monitor?

I did some trouble shooting instructed by Lenovo on call support executive but i do not have display to check. Now laptop is in service centre.

I did remove laptop verified by removing ram and clearing cmos jumper but still no POST and no display.
