I installed a new gpu in my system to get it off chipset, plugged the monitor into it and tried to boot. No display just black screen. Did a quick search on what to do, then removed the new card and plugged the monitor back into the old onboard port and still get no display. I'm not sure what to do now.

Solution
I am unable to retrieve them without using the pc, which is not displaying anything.
You can read motherboard model name written on it.
You can read PSU model name written on it.
You should know, what model graphics card you were trying to install.

Post some photos of insides of your system (upload to imgur.com and post link).

For the old motherboard port to work, you have to have a cpu with integrated graphics, so i assume you don't have one. Might be a dead card. Might simply be a dead monitor cable. What card are we talking about here? It's hard to help when we don't know anything lol.
