No display from graphics card

I have just Installed my brand new EVGA SSC GTX 1050 Ti into my computer I just built. I am still new to PCs, so I could be making an obvious mistake. The fans on the card are spinning and the HDMI cable running from the card to the monitor is working. Do I need to change something in the BIOS?

Perhaps.

Sometimes in the BIOS you have to disable the on board graphics (if you have on board graphics).

It can be called different things than just "disable on board graphics", so look for something along those lines....it may not be exactly that.
