No display, no beep

Hi, recently built a system with:

1. ASUS M4A79XTD-EVO Socket AM3 Motherboard
2. AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz Socket AM3 Black Edition Processor w/ Fan
3. 2x 2gb 256Mx64 ddr3 memory (crucial)

THe problem i'm having is system will power on but will not post. Everything appears to power on such as the cpu fan, hard drive, case fans, all the lights come on and there is no display. But the system never seems to post nor does it even beep once. I've tried to take it down the bare boot up with just the vid card and 1 mem stick.

Not sure if it is possibly a psu issue? It's a Thermaltake 430W and worked flawlessly in the system prior to adding the new hardware.

Any ideas would be great.

Make sure you have the 4/8 pin CPU power plugged in. If it's not, it would cause those exact symptoms.

It was the 1st thing I checked for and is plugged in.

Unplug your video card. I assume you have an onboard speaker. Try booting without the PCIe power plugged into the video card. Do you hear any beep codes then?

For some odd reason i decided to AGAIN remove and reinsert the 4 pin cpu power cable and it boots perfectly. Go figure. Gotta love Mondays lol
