I bought the evga ssc 970 a long time ago ive tried to install it to my rig but i get no display. When i plug the hdmi cable to my motherboard it does work though. ive been using integrated graphics this whole time after my 7950 died. What could the problem be i get no display on the card plus the fans spin for a little bit then stops this happens in intervals of 20 seconds. Any suggestions will help. Oh and i have an i7 4770 8gb ram asrock z87 pro 3 720w power supply and 1tb hdd.

what do you mean bad seating and uninstalled drivers. kind of a noob when it comes to this.

my bios is set to pcie so i dont think thats the problem.

When I mention bad seating, I mean that the card maybe isn't pushed completely into the slot and full contact isn't being made?
When I mention uninstalling previous drivers, I mean using DDU (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) and clearing all NVIDIA drivers on the current card. Then I would go onto the NVIDIA website and download a driver version (the most recent in your case) and then I would install that. I would then turn off my system, connect my video cable into the card and turn on the system to see if there's a response.

(Remember: when booting into 'Safe Mode' in Win 10, you have to have the video cable connected to the mobo or else if won't show the screen)

thanks for the response ill check in later

ive tried everything you said checked if i put it in right. checked power connections and when i tried installing drivers nvidia didnt let me do you think its a problem with the card or could it be the motherboard?

Have you updated to Anniversary update for Win 10? If you're having problems with installing drivers, it could be that.
You should be able to install the drivers (I would recommend after running DDU).
