I'm a first time builder, and as such won't dismiss any simple answers.

My specs:
Mobo: msi x99a pro carbon gaming
Gpu: EVGA gtx 1080 ftw
Cpu: I7-6800k 6 core
Memory: 2x16gb gskill
Storage: 250gb Samsung ssd and 4tb Seagate
Psu: 750W corsair
Case: corsair 750t graphite

Issue I'm having is that I'm not getting any display on first boot. Please help!
Have a display monitor and an hdmi.

Things I've done:
1. Rest cmos
2. Tried single Ram
3. Re-Seated gpu&cpu

Hello... Typically the ASUS and Gigabyte websites will List the CPU and show the BIO's version needed... but MSI 's does not. It is a HIGH end MB and CPU... you are "entitled to a phone call" to them... see if you can email or 1-800 them for the BIO's version on their records for your MB serial number AND if your MB is ready to be Booted with your CPU model... This is a important first step in the building process. B /

At this point you can only do more Damage by forcing or play with other things until you get this Information sorted out... painless call or Email... they will be used to it I'm sure B )

Sometimes they will be aware of a problem by searching your MB serial number too... and you will save a lot of frustration and hair...
Have never had a functioning display. This was the result of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc boot attempts. This is a completely brand new build. All parts came in and assembled together this week. I read somewhere that I have to update the bios to be compatible with the 6800k.

Hello... OH... Well... that's possible... that can be done by a local shop or it needs to be sent in to MSI... the problem is that you need a working/compatible CPU installed in it first for a NEW version BIO's to be installed... sometimes they put a sticker on the MB box to identify the BIO's installed on it... sometimes you can just make a phone call to the maker to see what is on their records for that MB serial number.

Do you have your doubts about this and asking for more opinions the subject? B /

I see four version released so far for that MB... 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X99A-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#support_download

But the website is not clear on which is needed for each type of CPU... B /
