A brief description of my problem:
When I power up my custom built PC everything lights up and all the fans start spinning. My monitors detect a signal as I am able to select it in the input menu. The only thing different to 'normal' is that the fan of the GPU revs up, like it is trying to work, but then revs down, constantly.

My only theory is that the GPU was shocked and killed by static, and other people have suggested the cause is a dead GPU. I would really appreicate hearing you guys' thoughts and any suggestions to a fix.
Also too note, I have tryed replacing the gpu, starting the computer with nothing plugged into the GPU. My mobo doesnt have any video outputs so I cant try onboard graphics.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you get no display at all, first try a new graphics card.. If you get a display and u still can't get to windows, try that disk windows came with, then type the product key when asked to activate it!
I was really precautions when building it and the computer has been built and working for around a month. I did change some fans around in my case a few days before the problems started, but it was working afterwards. The last time I shut it down when it was working I was doing windows updates (by update and restart) and it froze so I had to force shut it down. I have just noticed that the light on my mouse doesn't light up when I turn it on.

Ok, now that u mention this, I believe it could also be a corrupted windows.. You should never turn off during major updates as it may corrupt it.. Try inserting the Windows Disk and get into BIOS and boot it from there!

No , don't do that.. The way i do it, is buy a dvd-rw 4.2gb, download the version of my windows from the web, and burn it on the cd, then insert it in the pc and boot from the bios!
