No display on new custom pc

NEW custom PC powers on but no display.

Just assembled my first custom pc (without the graphics card as it hasn't arrived yet) and the motherboard lights up, the cpu fan spins etc. but my monitor says no display. I've checked all the wiring and I've only got one RAM stick.
I've tried both HDMI and VGA.
Wore an anti static wrist strap as well. What connectors exactly must be connected for it to work just so I can double check

Ryzen 5 1600 with wraith spire cooler
Vengeance 8GB DDR4 RAM
EVGA 650W G2 PSU
120GB hyper x fury SSD
ASUS prime b350-plus motherboard

There is no onboard video with ryzen. You'll need yo wait until your GPU comes in.

The motherboard only has video ports for the apus that are coming out later and will have onboard video. You're not the first to make this mistake, won't be the last.
