First of all here are my pc specs:
1.Intel i3 3220 3.30ghz
2.AMD radeon HD 7770 1gb sapphire
3.2×4gb ram
4.Gigabyte B75M-D3H Mobo
5.Cooler master thunder 450W PSU
6. Monitor (1600x900) connected with dvi to vga connector.
7.Windows 8.1
Here is the problem-
My monitor says no display when I connect my monitor with my graphics card. It works fine if it is connected to the Mobo directly ( with the graphics card still seated but power supply to it being disconnected this time).
When the graphics card is connected to monitor and the power supply is also connected to it, the fans of both CPU and the card spins but my monitor says no signal. Only the num lock light in the keyboard lights up. The other keys in the keyboard cannot be used ( caps lock and scrl lock when pressed does not light up). Plus the light in the mouse also does not light up. No beeps/sounds can be heard.
I've uninstalled my AMD drivers but can't install them because of this problem. Also it happens even in safe mode.
I have also tried to reseat the card into the other slot, tried with one ram stick but the problem still occurs. I had one spare Palit Ge force 210 1gb. This card works fine in both the slots.
Tried with direct vga and dvi to vga connector both. It works fine with this card.
I'm out of options now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
