No display when gpu is installed on a new mobo.

I just got a new motherboard, and it works fine with the integrated video on the motherboard. However, when I add my gpu I get a b2 error on the motherboard.

Power to the GPU - have you gone into BIOS and changed Primary video to PCI/PEG from onboard

I changed the primary video to pcie using the integrated graphics on the board, but when I reboot it goes back to the auto setting.

I put in a little gpu from a old computer, and now the computer boots right up. So either my gpu is dead, or it's not compatible with the motherboard.

I am 99% sure that it's dead. Any suggestions on a new card that is under or around $200?

Might look at a 280X or 960

That's what I was thinking about. I dont want something like the asus gtx 750ti right?
