No display when switching back to Radeon 7970

Hey all. My asrock Z97X motherboard crapped out on me recently. So until I can get another one, I need to install my old motherboard and amd cpu (ugh) but when I installed all the hardware I couldn't get an image to display. I figured it would atleast have a basic display I can use to download the drivers like when u first got the video card. (Radeon HD 7970) any hints or suggestions?

Use the onboard graphics. Are you sure the motherboard was the issue and not the video card? Does the card work fine on another system?
