Question No display with new 3080 gaming z trio 10gb

mpg x570s gaming edge wifi
64gb ram
750w gold rated corsair psu

tried putting a 1060 in and the whole system works fine which rules out faulty components. have a white vga led light on the ez debug on the motherboard

powering the gpu with 2 dual 6+2 pcie cables

any idea why no display, gpu is brand new today

1)PCIE x16 link speed is set to auto. Try manually setting it to gen 3. Although RTX 30 is gen 4 compatible, there seems to be some funky behavior with it, as manually setting the link speed to gen 3 has been a solution for some users.
Updating the bios may be another solution - but manually set the link speed regardless.

2)Using a faulty riser device.

3)You received a lemon gpu.
