[SOLVED] No Displayport on my Video Card

I just bought my son a new monitor, an ASUS TUF Gaming VG279Q1R, it requires that we connect it from its Displayport and its HDMI to the computer. However, when I went to connect it I realized that the graphics card only supports VGA, DVI, and HDMI connections, no Displayport. Is there a way that I can connect the Displayport on the monitor to the DVI port on the graphics card and have it work properly? If so, what do I need to make it work?

no single display needs both DP and HDMI.
it's one or the other.

card only supports VGA, DVI, and HDMI

just use HDMI.
