Yeah, I tend to do the same for the audio and other drivers. But there is another huge problem now.. Whenever I try to install this AMD driver, it sends me straight into a BSOD and Win8.1 has to Scan and repair it, for it to boot up.. I tried The disckcheck windows has and the windows memory diagnostics, both showed no problems.. sfc /sfcannow didn't show any errors either.
Option 1: If you have any prior AMD/nVidia/Intel GPU drivers installed. Uninstall them and try again.
Option 2: Run Windows update. Let in install the driver. Then try to run the installer.
Option 3: Try to do it manually for now. Use a program like 7-Zip to decompress the downloaded installer into a folder. Then go through Device Manager to update the driver. Select the decompressed folder and allow it to scan it for a driver.
