Soon after successfully installing Windows 10 and its updates on my newly built system, I shut the system down to connect the HDD that I'd left disconnected earlier. Since then, I've not been able to get any image out of the computer when attempting to boot.

I've tried swapping out my 1080 for my old 970 to no avail. I've unplugged and replugged the power cables, and have reinstalled the ram, and obviously disconnected the hard drive that had just been connected.

I've quickly gotten tired of this, after having RAM issues that still persist with my previous build. If all else fails, would it be worth taking to a local place to check it out, or would I be best served returning what I've got?

That's correct, and since I disconnected it, I've still gotten no image.

I do have another PSU, though it's currently powering my older system.

As for monitor, I have been using a benq gl2460hm, and I've got a 29 inch lg ultrawide on hand.
