No increased graphics with my new card

I had stock Intel HD graphics inside my system before, so i inserted my new card on my motherboard, loaded my computer up, and installed it by clicking the open disk option. Once I did this, I uninstalled Intel HD graphics, but nothing has happened. My card is a r7 260x, and im using a 500w power supply. Why isn't it marked as my first used graphics card? Instead is is just the basic graphics card.

Have you installed the drivers that came with your graphics card? as your graphics card will not work properly till you do so. If you dont have the CD to install the drivers you should be able to locate them on the AMD website. http://support.amd.com/en-us
