No input rgb signal and erratic fan .

How to see my desktop in normal mode .. i get an No RGB input signal! when i boot normally , but in Safe mode i can see the desktop . I have changed leads and monitor and taken out graphics card, and tried a few other ideas .
Any other suggestion would be welcome .. Im using an XP windows system on PC .. Is it a hardware problem or a software .. desperatly seeking help .

While in safe mode, uninstall the drivers for the vid card. Reboot normally. If you get into WIndows, download a fresh driver package and install it.

Thank you so much for your response , where would i download a fresh driver package from ? I am unfortunatly a novice with windows XP and I really know nothing , i don't even know where the drivers are for the video card. The computer seemed to have an attack of malware and said that it was infected with trojans and worms .. this is when i began to have the rgb input problem . If you can help me more i would be very grateful ..
