I have a Dell Inspiron 1440 Laptop and I am able to connect to the router using the wireless card and Ethernet cable, but I have no internet access. Other computers on the network work fine so I am wondering if it is a card problem. Any suggestions?
Sounds weird if both cards should be faulty... - sounds more it´s a local problem on the laptop itself - since you can connect to the router - any Firewall on the computer or Antivirus that might be blocking?

You may want to try and ping the router. Is this home or business? Businesses tend to use proxy's and if that is not configured you won't be able to access the internet. I've also seen home routers that have issues connecting due to router problems.
