No internet after fresh Windows 7 install even though I installed drivers.

Hi, I just got a fresh reinstall of Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire One laptop and I put the network drivers on the computer (transferred through USB) and restarted my computer. I completely installed the drivers but I still don't have internet. Any ideas on what's going on?

wired? wireless? are the adapters showing up as there?

Dear antigrate, please check 2 things:

A) Check switches, buttons, etc. on your laptop to make sure the wireless is ON.

B) Check Device Manager in control panel (just type in device manager in the start bar) and click on "network adapters" or "unidentified device" and check if there are any symbols (a grey circle, yellow question mark or yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark in it) which appear over any of the icons.
Grey circle = enable the device.
Yellow Question mark = unknown/unconfigured driver
Yellow triangle = most likely to be the wrong driver
