No Internet connection

Hello,
I used to have ESET Smart Security installed. I uninstalled it and since then the pc hasn't been able to detect the wireless home network or any other connection type. Nothing. After some time of search I realised there was sth called "eset personal firewall miniport" used as an adapter which could no more work as I erased eset!! the problem is that my basic realtek adapter is not working either. What can I do???

P.S.: I have Windows XP.

Not really...how can I do it? Note that I don't own the driver. My adapter is Realtek RTL8185 54M Wireless LAN Network Adapter #2.
