Hello.
I have 2 IP's at home. One is used by my father, via the router, and another one that I use, via a switch. The problem is, when I reinstall windows, or when a big update happens, my internet disappears and says there is network, but no internet and gives me the DNS not responding error.
I've set my IP many times, so there is no error there. When I connect my cable directly to the router, and set it to automatically configure the IP, I have internet.
After many reinstalls, I tend to use the router and not bother with it, and eventually I'll trial and error my way to successfully achieve internet connection via my switch. I have no idea how it works sometimes. Must be software / windows option that resets after a fresh reinstallation of windows. I have no idea.
Whatever information you need guys, let me know. I will provide it and hopefully we solve this issue once and for all.
